The Sales Architect is a vital collaborator to the Sales team, having primary responsibility for providing pre-sales support to prospective customers for all KnowBe4 products as well as eliminating technical impediments to their purchase and adoption. This position will help identify key customer requirements and position KnowBe4 products as they meet those applicable requirements. In addition, the Sales Architects will collaborate directly with other business units such as Technical Support to address complex technical issues, Revenue Development to facilitate sales’ technical acumen, Product Management to assess and address product gaps and others as needed in the course of their work.
Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
Serve as a product authority both internally and externally
Troubleshoot complex issues and develop innovative product showcases
Lead product feedback discussions and collaborate with Product Management
Develop and deliver advanced product training sessions
Strategic Sales Engagement:
Work strategically with prospects in close coordination with sales representatives
Comfortably engage with corporate leadership in prospect organizations
Navigate and communicate across disparate technical teams in prospect organizations
Lead cross-functional SE projects, coordinating efforts across teams and departments
Mentorship and Team Development:
Regularly mentor junior Sales Engineers
Generate and facilitate SE enablement and development initiatives
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for both Sales and technical teams
Influence team direction and establish best practices
Advanced Problem Solving:
Resolve moderate to complex technical issues without guidance
Support other SEs in solving technical problems as an escalation point
Develop foresight to understand and call out potential technical challenges
Business and Sales Strategy:
Handle senior-level strategy conversations at the enterprise level with minimal support
Make informed recommendations on sales strategies to senior leaders
Develop playbooks for complex sales scenarios, integrating technical knowledge with sales strategies
Customer Engagement:
Independently develop and execute POV evaluation plans
Incorporate broader business impact and ROI discussions into customer interactions
Craft compelling narratives showcasing how multiple products address specific customer pain points
Competitive Intelligence:
Clearly articulate core differentiators versus top 5 competitors
Minimum Qualifications:
2 year degree or technical degree preferred
3-6 years of technical sales or sales engineering experience required.
Experience with Gmail and Google Docs
Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)
Experience with web browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
Deep technical expertise in cybersecurity and related technologies
Proven track record of successful enterprise-level sales engagements
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Excellent communication and strategic thinking abilities
Excellent verbal and written communications
Highly organized and result-oriented
Excellent time management and organization skills
Can demonstrate technical troubleshooting and analysis ability
Experience with security awareness concepts and mail environments

Must be able to work with minimal supervision
