As a Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Partner, you will be a vital part of our Talent Acquisition (TA) team, consulting with Hiring Managers/Business Leaders, developing and executing talent strategies, effectively identifying, and engaging with candidates, always keeping an eye on delivering the best experience for stakeholders, and positioning IEM as the employer of choice.

NOTE: This position will be based temporarily in NE San Antonio while our new manufacturing plant is coming online. Our permanent location is approximately 25 minutes away at Brooks, 7515 Inner Circle Dr., San Antonio, 78235. The position will start as 100% onsite with opportunity to flex to hybrid work over time as the plant ultimately transitions out of start-up mode.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Exceptionally partners with Hiring Managers/Business leaders and HR colleagues, helping to meet overall business and talent goals - a talent solution provider/advisor who is unafraid to challenge the status quo when needed with the upmost respect and professionalism

For businesses supported, develops, and executes macro (for the business as a whole, mostly mid to long-term) and micro (position-by-position, mostly short-term) talent acquisition strategies

Educates on and effectively influences hiring managers and other key stakeholders to follow talent acquisition policies and practices, helping to ensure consistently engaging candidate experiences

Consistently sets expectations and regularly communicates with all stakeholders (ex. hiring managers, business leaders, internal and external candidates, HR colleagues, vendors, etc.)

Expertly identifies, attracts, and assesses talent efficiently and effectively while maintaining excellent service levels to multiple hiring managers and candidates – ensures a positive hiring manager and candidate experience throughout the TA process

Collaborates with business leaders and HR colleagues on new hire onboarding, employee experience, and retention

Effectively leverages data to influence and drive decision making

Regularly evaluates labor market conditions and industry intelligence, sharing with key stakeholders to inform optimal business and talent decisions

Is always on the lookout for opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation, not content with just maintaining the status quo

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum of 5 years of similar talent acquisition experience in a corporate setting

Industrial manufacturing and/or construction industry experience with direct experience recruiting all levels of employees from the shop/site floor up to plant/site leadership

Demonstrated ability to build relationships with, partner with and effectively influence all stakeholders throughout the end-to-end talent acquisition process

Proven ability to assess candidates’ motivations, qualifications, and potential, quickly and effectively

General knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations

Flexible and adaptable team player who thrives in a collaborative, often changing environment - you will be in start-up mode and must be willing to help wherever needed - "not my job" is an unacceptable response

Excellent written & verbal communication, multi-tasking, organizational, follow-up and negotiating skills, with a strong attention to detail

DESIRED

Experience in a high growth (ex. # of employees doubled last year) startup-type environment AND experience in a mature, well-established corporate environment

At least 2 years of experience in a search firm/agency in a client and candidate management capacity is strongly preferred

10 plus years of similar talent acquisition experience

Experience with Greenhouse and/or comparable ATS/CRM systems

Intimate knowledge of the San Antonio labor market as it relates to manufacturing and construction
