Quality Assurance Engineer II - Argentina
About The Role
Built Technologies is the AI-first platform for construction and real estate finance. Quality at Built is not an afterthought — it is a core requirement for a platform whose workflows govern how capital moves through construction projects. The QA Engineer II independently owns testing responsibilities for defined feature areas, contributing across the full quality assurance lifecycle from test planning through defect resolution, with growing depth in automation and systemic quality thinking.
Our Guiding Principles
Be Bold. We pursue the biggest problems in our industry, challenge assumptions others take for granted, and take calculated risks to get there. We don’t hide behind consensus or committees. Playing it safe is just failing slowly.
Help Customers Win. We learn our customers’ businesses deeply — how they think, how they deploy capital, what keeps them up at night. We treat their capital like our own. We ship leverage, not features. And we measure ourselves by customer results, not our intentions.
Move with Urgency & Purpose. We bias toward delivery over perfection, remove friction from our own paths, and communicate in real time. Momentum compounds — and we build it every day.
Own the Outcome. We own outcomes, not just tasks. We hold a high Say:Do ratio and take responsibility from idea through impact. When something breaks, we fix it — we don’t wait to be asked.
Never Satisfied. We raise the bar continuously. We stay curious, hold exacting standards, debate hard, and hold our opinions loosely when the evidence shifts. Excellence is a habit, not an event.
What You’ll Do
Independently own test planning and execution for assigned feature areas — writing test cases, executing test plans, and tracking defect resolution from identification through closure.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts within established frameworks, increasing automated coverage for your area and reducing reliance on manual regression.
Demonstrate growing understanding of Built’s products and financial workflows, identifying improvement opportunities in testing processes and coverage standards.
Influence quality outcomes within your team by proactively surfacing risks, edge cases, and gaps in test coverage before they reach production.
Collaborate with engineers and product managers during story refinement to ensure testability and clear acceptance criteria are defined before development begins.
Contribute to regression suite maintenance and continuous improvement of test automation coverage across your feature area.
Clarify testing success metrics and align your QA work to release readiness and business value — not just pass/fail counts.
Meet testing commitments with growing independence; escalate risks clearly and with enough context for senior QA engineers to act.
What You’ll Bring
2–4 years of experience in software quality assurance or a related technical role.
Hands-on experience writing and executing manual test cases and test scripts across functional and regression testing.
Working knowledge of at least one test automation framework (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar) and API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, or similar).
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira, Xray, TestRail, or similar).
Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum delivery practices — you know where QA fits in the delivery lifecycle and how to add value at each stage.
Detail-oriented with a growing ability to identify systemic quality risks beyond surface-level defects.
Experience in a SaaS or technology company environment is a plus.
What Success Looks Like at Six Months
You are independently owning test planning and execution for at least one feature area, and the teams you support trust your coverage.
You are contributing meaningfully to test automation, with increased automated coverage that reduces manual regression burden.
Your defect documentation is clear, precise, and actionable — engineers can reproduce and fix issues without needing additional context from you.
You are surfacing quality risks proactively during story refinement, not after features are built.
Senior QA engineers and engineering partners describe your work as reliable and increasingly self-directed.
