About the Role

We're looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our team and help ensure the quality and reliability of technology-driven products at scale. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on catching what others miss — building automated coverage that lasts, and digging into logs, databases, and cloud infrastructure to find the real cause of a failure, not just its symptoms.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on testing experience across web applications, APIs, and backend services, with the technical range to move between writing automated test suites, validating data with SQL, and troubleshooting issues across distributed, cloud-based systems.

This position is open to candidates based in LATAM.

Responsibilities

Develops comprehensive test plans and test cases in coordination with developers working on new features and enhancements.

Executes manual regression and integration testing to validate application behavior and release readiness.

Automates existing manual test suites, prioritizing reliable and maintainable test coverage.

Designs, implements, and continually improves automated testing for web applications, APIs, and backend services.

Works closely with developers to validate implementations, identify defects, and verify resolutions.

Evaluates completed work and provides QA approval for promotion through staging and production environments.

Identifies potential quality risks, technical roadblocks, and gaps in test coverage early in the development process.

Performs API, functional, integration, regression, and performance testing as required.

Validates application data and backend processing through SQL queries and database analysis.

Uses application logs, cloud monitoring tools, and other diagnostic information to investigate failures and unexpected behavior.

Advocates for automated testing at multiple levels, including unit, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on test automation.

Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, C#, or TypeScript.

Experience with browser automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.

Experience testing HTTP APIs using tools such as Postman or comparable API-testing solutions.

Experience with performance and load-testing tools such as JMeter.

Knowledge of unit-testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, NUnit, or similar.

Strong SQL knowledge and experience using database tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

Familiarity with the AWS Console and services such as ECS, RDS, CloudWatch, and S3.

General understanding of cloud computing and microservices architectures.

Strong technical aptitude, particularly around web applications, APIs, distributed services, and client-server architectures.

Knowledge of professional software engineering practices throughout the SDLC, including source control, code reviews, build and deployment processes, testing, and production operations.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate issues across application, database, and cloud infrastructure layers.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to discuss technical issues effectively with developers and other stakeholders.
