LOCATION

Paris or remote (from -5h GMT up to +2h GMT to ensure sufficient overlap with the rest of the team).

ROLE

Morpho's Protocol team is evolving the core lending infrastructure that powers products and markets across the ecosystem. As the number of opportunities, integrations, and protocol initiatives grows, the team needs clear product direction on what to build, why it matters, and how to sequence the work.

This role will work with Morpho’s protocol team to shape product strategy and guide execution. You will turn the needs of users and ecosystem partners into a focused roadmap, work closely with protocol and engineering teams to shape solutions, and drive improvements from discovery through launch and adoption. You will operate at the intersection of deeply technical systems, financial markets, and a fast-moving ecosystem.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Own the roadmap for Morpho's protocol team, defining the highest-impact problems to solve and sequencing opportunities against company goals, user needs, technical constraints, and ecosystem dynamics.

- Build and run a continuous discovery process with curators, distributors, integrators, developers, and other protocol users to understand their workflows, pain points, and emerging needs.

- Translate user and market insights into clear product requirements, decision frameworks, and success criteria that help protocol and engineering teams move quickly with strong rationale.

- Partner closely with protocol, engineering, research, security, legal, solutions, partnerships, and marketing to take initiatives from early exploration through design, implementation, audit, launch, and adoption.

- Evaluate product and technical tradeoffs, including when to extend the protocol, improve surrounding infrastructure, enable partners, or deliberately avoid adding complexity.

- Define and track the signals that show whether protocol initiatives are working, combining quantitative data with ecosystem feedback to guide iteration and future investment.

- Communicate product direction, decisions, tradeoffs, and release implications clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders.

- Improve how product decisions are made and documented as Morpho and its protocol ecosystem scale.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

FIRST 30 DAYS

You understand Morpho's protocol, development and release process, current roadmap, and the rationale behind the major initiatives in flight. You have built relationships across protocol, engineering, research, security, and go-to-market teams, and have started speaking with key curators, distributors, integrators, and developers.

FIRST 3 MONTHS

You have established a clear, prioritized view of the most important protocol problems and opportunities. The roadmap reflects explicit tradeoffs, user evidence, technical constraints, and measurable outcomes. You have driven at least one meaningful initiative from discovery into execution and proactively keep stakeholders aligned on decisions and changes.

FIRST 6 MONTHS

You have shipped a meaningful protocol improvement and can show how it advanced user or business outcomes. Product, protocol, and engineering teams have stronger shared context on what to build and why. You consistently identify important user needs, ecosystem shifts, and roadmap conflicts early, and have improved Morpho's product discovery and decision-making process.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

- 5+ years building technical products in complex or fast-changing environments.

- Proven track record taking products or major features from ambiguous problem spaces through launch and iteration.

- Strong technical fluency, with the ability to reason about system design and constraints, engage deeply with engineers and researchers, and translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

- Excellent product judgment: you can distinguish important user problems from requests, make principled tradeoffs, and focus teams on the work with the greatest impact.

- Strong user discovery and synthesis skills, with the ability to uncover needs across different user types and turn incomplete or conflicting inputs into clear direction.

- Experience leading cross-functional work without relying on formal authority.

- Ability to define success, use quantitative and qualitative evidence, and adapt direction as new information emerges.

- Excellent written and verbal communication, especially in an async environment.

- Comfort creating clarity and driving decisions in highly ambiguous contexts.

- Strong ownership and autonomy: you act without waiting to be told.

- Team-first mindset, low ego.

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience in crypto, DeFi, traditional finance, or fintech.

- Familiarity with lending markets, smart contracts, or permissionless protocols.

- Experience shipping products with significant security, audit, regulatory, or governance considerations.
