Product Management Intern
Product Management Intern – Identity Resilience
About the Team & Role
The Product Management team at Rubrik drives forward our vision of delivering a market-leading platform that addresses the world’s most critical cyber resilience and data security challenges.
The Identity Resilience team is Rubrik’s fastest-growing business unit, operating with a high-velocity "0-to-1" charter. Today, modern cyberattacks almost exclusively weaponize identity systems. When identity fails, the entire enterprise halts. Our mission is to ensure enterprise identity environments are secure, observable, compliant, and instantly recoverable.
We are looking for a strategically sharp, technical, and execution-minded Product Management Intern for a high-impact 2-month internship based in Bengaluru. As an intern, you will own a core strategic initiative – bridging enterprise customer pain points, competitive differentiation, and technical architecture to deliver a concrete product roadmap for next-generation identity protection.
What You’ll Do (2-Month Charter)
Market Landscape & Threat Vector Analysis: Benchmark the enterprise identity attack surface across hybrid environments. Map emerging threat vectors to potential resilience and recovery capabilities.
Customer Discovery & Pain Point Synthesis: Work alongside PM and GTM mentors to analyze customer requirements, telemetry data, and enterprise security frameworks to pinpoint the highest-friction operational gaps for Security and IAM teams.
Feature Strategy & PRD Ownership: Define the scope, user workflows, and success metrics for a targeted identity protection/recovery feature. Author a high-quality Product Requirement Document (PRD) balancing enterprise-grade depth with Rubrik’s trademark simplicity.
Cross-Functional Architecture Alignment: Collaborate closely with Engineering, UX Design, and Architecture leads to evaluate technical trade-offs, define API/data pipeline requirements, and ensure feasibility.
Executive Strategy Pitch: Conclude your internship with an Executive Product Readout to Senior Leadership, defending your business case, technical trade-offs, and proposed roadmap.
What You’ll Need
Education: Currently enrolled in a premier MBA/management program (IIM, ISB, or equivalent global top-tier business school) graduating in 2027/28
Technical Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent engineering discipline. Prior product management or technical experience in enterprise systems, cloud platforms, or cybersecurity is a strong plus.
Systems & Security Thinking: An understanding of enterprise software fundamentals; familiarity with core identity concepts is an advantage.
Problem Solving: Comfort with ambiguity, structured thinking, and the ability to break complex, undefined problems into crisp, actionable requirements.
Communication & Influence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical trade-offs to senior product and engineering leaders.
Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Bengaluru for the 2-month internship duration (Hybrid model).
What You’ll Gain
True 0-to-1 Problem Ownership: Direct ownership of a real-world, high-priority product problem in enterprise cybersecurity – not a back-burner sandbox project.
High-Stakes Leadership Visibility: Regular 1:1 mentorship from seasoned Product Managers and a final presentation to Product & Engineering leadership.
Cybersecurity PM Expertise: Hands-on exposure to cutting-edge identity governance, threat modeling, and resilience frameworks inside an enterprise security market leader.
