Most engineering roles are defined by how software gets built. This one also asks you to answer what gets built and why. Mews is growing fast across a complex, multi-property hospitality market, and the tools customers need don't always exist yet. This role exists to create them, from first principles through to measurable customer impact.

As a Product Builder, you'll take end-to-end ownership of initiatives: defining the problem, prototyping a solution, shipping to production and staying close enough to see whether it actually helped. The surface area is broad — product-led growth mechanics, intelligent onboarding and automation workflows, multi-property operational tooling, AI-powered features and co-pilot experiences. You'll work alongside Product Managers and Designers where relevant, but you won't be waiting for direction. You'll set scope, run experiments and make calls.

Hospitality technology is at an inflection point. Customers are asking for smarter, more integrated tools, and the gap between what exists and what's possible is real. Product Builders at Mews close that gap.

What you would do

Take end-to-end ownership of product initiatives: defining the problem, prototyping the solution, shipping to production and iterating based on real customer feedback

Build AI-native features and co-pilot experiences as core product components, making engineering decisions about the underlying models and infrastructure that power them

Use tools like Claude, Cursor and Lovable to ship faster, set the standard for how AI is used in the development process across engineering, and build reusable approaches that accelerate other teams

Shape and implement systems across product-led growth, onboarding automation, multi-property business intelligence and AI-powered workflows

Establish reusable patterns and frameworks that accelerate the work of other engineers, and coach engineers who want to develop in this direction

AI Fluency Level 4: In this role, that means you build AI-powered products and systems as first-class engineering deliverables. You understand the models and infrastructure well enough to make architectural decisions about them, and you've shipped something where AI is a core component — not a feature bolted on top. Here you'll be designing and implementing AI-native experiences from scratch, not just integrating pre-built tooling.

What you would bring

Seven or more years delivering customer-facing software with measurable business outcomes, including large-scale initiatives across functions, systems or product areas

Hands-on experience building AI-powered products or systems using modern tooling such as Claude, Cursor, Lovable or emerging agent frameworks — with enough understanding of the underlying models to make sound engineering decisions

AI Fluency Level 4, or the equivalent hands-on experience shipping products where AI is a core architectural component

Strong product instincts: you care about the problem as much as the implementation, and you've operated without a dedicated Product Manager or Designer

Clear, direct communication with a track record of influencing strategic direction across functions

Nice to have

Experience in a startup, founder or scale-up environment

Demonstrated ability to define and deliver product strategy without top-down direction
