EQT is seeking an experienced Process Engineer – Midstream Facilities to provide process engineering expertise in support of natural gas gathering, compression, dehydration, liquids handling, and related midstream infrastructure. This position will play a key role in the design, optimization, troubleshooting, and expansion of midstream facilities, working closely with Facilities Engineering, Operations, Construction, Automation, Project Management, Commercial, and other technical teams.

The Process Engineer Sr/Expert/Advisor - Midstream Facilities responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provide process engineering support for the design, expansion, optimization, and troubleshooting of natural gas gathering, dehydration, compression, stabilization and NGL liquification facilities.

Develop and maintain process simulations using ProMax and HYSYS (experience with Symmetry is a plus), and other applicable engineering tools.

Perform heat and material balances, phase-equilibrium studies, pipeline and facility hydraulic analysis, equipment sizing, , and process optimization studies.

Evaluate gas compositions and operating conditions to predict hydrocarbon condensation, water dropout, hydrate formation, hydrocarbon and water dew points, and liquids production throughout the gathering system.

Provide technical expertise for NGL and condensate systems.

Design and evaluate liquids systems, including separation, storage, stabilization, pumping, vapor management, pressure control, and truck loading/unloading.

Support the design and optimization of natural gas compressor stations, including inlet separation, suction scrubbers, compression, interstage and discharge cooling, liquids handling, recycle systems, blowdown, and process controls.

Support the design and optimization of natural gas dehydration facilities, including TEG contactors, regeneration systems, flash tanks, reboilers, condensers, circulation systems, and associated emissions-control equipment.

Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and operating philosophies.

Specification and design of process safety over pressure protection systems (primarily sizing PSV’s)
