Process Engineer I

Gotion is seeking a motivated Junior Process Engineer to support the Pack & Module Manufacturing team. This role will assist with manufacturing process optimization, production support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities within a high-volume battery manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a recent engineering graduate or early-career professional who is eager to learn and build hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Support daily production and manufacturing operations.

Assist with process troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.

Collect and analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities.

Support equipment installation, testing, and production ramp-up activities.

Create and maintain process documentation and work instructions.

Participate in continuous improvement projects related to quality, yield, and productivity.

Work closely with Production, Quality, and Equipment Engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.

0-2 years of engineering experience (internships, co-ops, and academic projects acceptable).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and support production operations.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in lithium-ion battery, automotive, advanced manufacturing, or related industries.

Understanding of battery pack and module manufacturing processes.

Experience with automated assembly equipment and production systems.

Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.

Experience working in a fast-paced startup or high-growth manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience

Internship or project experience in manufacturing.

Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.

Familiarity with battery, automotive, automation, or high-volume manufacturing processes.

Experience using Excel and analyzing data.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $60,000.00 –$80,000.00, + 15% bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
