Print Operator
About the Role
The Print Operator is a critical role responsible for printing and processing invoices and statements on high-speed laser printers and automated insertion equipment, and helping prepare mail for entry into the USPS. This is a hands-on, production-floor role that requires mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a proven commitment to punctuality and quality.
You will work as part of a team dedicated to delivering accurate, on-time output for Billtrust customers—operating sophisticated printing and inserting equipment, following established SOPs, and contributing to a facility that runs with precision and pride.
What You’ll Do
Production Operations
• Operate high-speed laser printers and automated insertion equipment to print and process customer invoices and statements accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare completed mail jobs for entry into the USPS, following established postal procedures and quality standards.
• Follow all standard operating procedures for job setup, operation, and completion to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
• Monitor equipment performance during production runs and flag any issues to the supervisor or service technician promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
Quality & Safety
• Perform basic quality checks during production to verify correct materials, accurate job setup, and acceptable print quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, adhering to all facility safety standards at all times.
• Operate the company vehicle when required to support facility or mail delivery needs, in accordance with company policy.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.
Team Contribution
• Work collaboratively with fellow Print Operators and supervisors to meet daily production goals and customer SLAs.
• Support the team during peak production periods by working flexible hours and overtime as needed.
• Contribute to a positive, high-performance facility culture by demonstrating reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
Required Skills:
• Proven history of punctuality and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime during peak production periods.
• Basic PC skills sufficient to process jobs in a timely and accurate manner.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and respond to basic equipment issues.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and stand for extended periods during production shifts.
• Valid Driver’s License and willingness to drive the company vehicle on occasion.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of mailing and USPS procedures.
• Familiarity with Pitney Bowes or Bell & Howell inserting equipment.
• Experience operating laser printers in a production environment.
• High School Diploma or GED-equivalent.
The expected base salary range for this position is $22.12 - $29.81/hour. Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for additional incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
