Principal, Product Strategy (Commercial / Medical Affairs)
TEAM
The Product Strategy team is responsible for identifying, prototyping, shipping, and scaling products that drive growth within specific market segments that Komodo serves. We do this by operating across three horizons: (1) where to play over the next 3-5 years; (2) prototyping, launching, and landing new products that will drive growth over the next 1-3 years; (3) optimizing Komodo’s existing product portfolio. We sit at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing — translating market intelligence and customer needs into strategies, products, and results that advance Komodo's mission to Reduce the Burden of Disease.
MISSION
This role is fundamentally a segment owner with a builder's mindset. You hold the strategic P&L view for Commercial / Medical Affairs — assessing where to invest, what to ship, and how to move the market. Product, engineering, marketing, and sales enablement are functions you partner closely with to get there. If you've lived the Commercial / Medical Affairs workflow, have strong opinions about what's missing in the market, and want to build the thing that fixes it, then this role was designed for you.

Expert-level understanding of the Commercial / Medical Affairs segment: use cases, buyer and user personas, competitive dynamics, and where the market is heading
Analytical rigor: fluency in both qualitative market intelligence and quantitative data — including internal signals (revenue, pipeline, product usage, win/loss) and external signals (market trends, competitor moves, investor reports) — with a demonstrated ability to build well-structured, evidence-based strategies from both
Exceptional communication and influencing: the ability to translate complex ideas into crisp written, visual, and oral narratives for diverse audiences including customers, executives, and cross-functional teams
Track record of operating as an integrative, cross-functional leader (e.g., across Product, Sales, and Marketing functions)
Experience using AI coding / coworking tools to build something — software, prototypes, workflows, agents. No engineering background required, but genuine curiosity and comfort with building is essential
