Principal Product Manager
The camera is where CompanyCam starts. It’s the surface every contractor touches every day, and it’s the single highest-leverage piece of our product. As Principal Product Manager, Camera, you’ll own the strategy and roadmap for how contractors capture, organize, and get value from photos on the jobsite, setting direction for where the camera goes next as AI, computer vision, and automation become bigger parts of the story. This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports, reporting to the Director of Product Management and leading through influence across Engineering, Design, Data, Sales, Customer Success, and Support to move the highest-leverage problems from idea to shipped product.
Location: Candidates must permanently and currently reside in the United States.
What You'll Do
Own the product vision and roadmap for the camera and photo experience, balancing core capture improvements with bigger bets in photo intelligence and workflow automation
Lead discovery with customers to understand how they capture, share, search, and use photos in the field, and turn what you learn into sharp, well-prioritized problem statements
Connect the camera to the rest of the platform: projects, documentation, reports, proposals, integrations, and communication
Partner with Engineering and Design to move from discovery to shipped work with speed and clarity, writing clear requirements and acceptance criteria along the way
Work with Engineering on the hard technical problems: device constraints, mobile performance, upload reliability, image quality, metadata, and offline behavior
Make smart tradeoffs on AI-powered features, balancing automation, user control, speed, and trust
Define and track the metrics that matter: adoption, capture behavior, upload success, workflow completion, retention, satisfaction, and business impact
Mentor other PMs and help raise the bar on discovery and outcome-focused execution across the product org
The Impact You'll Have
At CompanyCam, your work makes a real impact. Whether you're writing code, supporting customers, or designing experiences, your contributions directly shape the product we deliver and the people we serve. We're building something that helps real people solve real problems—and we believe that kind of work is best done by a team that reflects the world around us. In this role, you’ll drive impact by:
Shaping the roadmap for the most-used surface in our entire product, the camera every contractor touches every day
Aligning Engineering, Design, Data, Sales, Customer Success, and Support around the highest-leverage problems worth solving
Making the daily job easier for contractors in the field, from faster capture to smarter, more useful photos
Setting the direction for how AI and automation show up responsibly across our whole platform
