What You’ll Do

The CoreWeave Legal and Government Affairs (LGA) team is highly collaborative and partners closely with teams across the company to navigate complex policy, regulatory, and business environments while enabling innovation and growth. The team is pragmatic, solutions-oriented, and deeply engaged in strategic decision-making, with a strong emphasis on building trusted relationships across the organization.

As Policy Analyst, U.S. Public Policy, you will support CoreWeave’s engagement across a rapidly evolving range of federal, state, and community policy issues affecting AI and digital infrastructure. You will monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments, help develop company policy positions and advocacy strategies, and draft materials including internal analysis, executive briefings, regulatory comments, legislative proposals, and letters.

This role is ideal for a versatile policy professional who can move quickly across issues and jurisdictions, identify what matters to CoreWeave, and translate complex developments into clear analysis and practical recommendations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Public Policy, the Policy Analyst will support CoreWeave’s U.S. public policy strategy across federal, state, and community affairs. The role will work across a broad portfolio that may include AI and technology policy, digital infrastructure, energy and power, permitting, economic development, tax and incentives, workforce, trade and supply chain, and national security.

You will work across Government Affairs, Legal, and other CoreWeave teams to assess emerging policy issues, understand their business implications, and develop well-supported positions and responses. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer and researcher who is intellectually curious, comfortable managing multiple fast-moving workstreams, and eager to develop expertise across the issues shaping U.S. AI infrastructure.

In this role you will:

Monitor, research, and analyze federal and state legislation, regulations, executive actions, and other policy developments relevant to CoreWeave and the AI infrastructure sector.

Assess the business and operational implications of policy proposals and translate complex developments into concise analysis, recommendations, and actionable guidance for Government Affairs and internal stakeholders.

Develop and refine CoreWeave policy positions across federal, state, and community issues in coordination with internal subject matter experts.

Draft policy and advocacy materials, including regulatory comments, legislative proposals, submissions, letters, testimony, talking points, and executive briefings.

Support federal and state advocacy efforts by developing background materials, stakeholder analysis, meeting preparation, talking points, and follow-up materials for engagements with policymakers and government officials.

Support CoreWeave’s engagement in communities where the company operates or is considering investment, including research and analysis of local policy environments, stakeholders, economic development priorities, and community issues.

Work across Government Affairs, Legal, Energy, Sustainability, Communications, Corporate Development, and other teams to gather subject matter expertise and translate technical or business considerations into effective policy positions.

Support CoreWeave’s participation in trade associations, coalitions, working groups, public consultations, and other third-party policy efforts, including reviewing and developing feedback on proposed industry positions.

Prepare concise briefings and policy analysis for senior leaders on significant legislative, regulatory, and political developments.

Maintain policy trackers and other internal resources that provide timely visibility into priority developments, deadlines, engagements, and advocacy workstreams.

Represent CoreWeave, as appropriate, in policy meetings, industry working groups, and stakeholder engagements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Government, Economics, International Relations, Law, or a related field.

3–5 years of relevant professional experience in government, public policy, government affairs, regulatory affairs, a trade association, think tank, consulting firm, or related environment.

Strong understanding of U.S. legislative, regulatory, and policymaking processes, with experience working on federal and/or state policy issues.

Excellent research and analytical skills, including the ability to quickly understand complex legislative or regulatory proposals and identify their practical implications.

Exceptional written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise, and persuasive policy materials for different audiences.

Ability to manage multiple policy issues and workstreams simultaneously and respond effectively to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.

Strong judgment and attention to detail, including the ability to distinguish material policy developments from broader political or stakeholder activity.

Ability to work collaboratively with legal, technical, commercial, and operational subject matter experts and translate their input into effective policy materials.

Comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of ownership and accountability.

Preferred Skills

Experience working in or with Congress, a federal or state agency, a governor’s office or state legislature, a trade association, a think tank, or an in-house government affairs team.

Experience analyzing legislation or regulations and developing comments, policy submissions, legislative language, or other advocacy materials.

Familiarity with policy issues affecting AI, cloud computing, data centers, digital infrastructure, energy, or other technology-intensive industries.

Experience with stakeholder engagement, coalitions, trade associations, or community affairs and an ability to translate technical subject matter into clear policy analysis.

Work Environment

Location: Hybrid, based in Washington, DC.

Travel: Periodic travel to state capitals, CoreWeave facilities, industry events, and other stakeholder engagements may be required.

This is a U.S. domestic policy position with responsibilities spanning federal, state, and community affairs.

Wondering if you're a good fit? We believe in investing in our people, and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams – even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are a few qualities we've found compatible with our team. If some of this describes you, we'd love to talk.

You’re the person who wants to read the actual bill, regulation, or agency filing and understand what it means rather than relying on the headline.

You can take a complicated policy proposal and explain in a few paragraphs what it does, why it matters, and what CoreWeave should consider doing about it.

You’re comfortable moving from a federal AI policy issue in the morning to a state energy proposal or community infrastructure question in the afternoon.

You’re a strong writer who enjoys turning technical, legal, and business input into clear and persuasive policy positions.

You thrive in a fast-moving environment where the policy landscape changes quickly and good judgment, responsiveness, and attention to detail matter.
