PlantPAx Ignition Engineer

We are seeking an experienced PlantPAx Ignition Engineer to design, program, test, and support industrial control systems in regulated environments. This role requires strong hands-on expertise with Rockwell Automation platforms, Ignition SCADA, and networked control systems, with a working understanding of biopharmaceutical, GMP, and building management systems.

You will:

Independently program and configure Allen-Bradley CompactLogix and ControlLogix PLCs, including related I/O systems

Develop, configure, and maintain Rockwell PlantPAx 4.x and 5.x control modules and equipment modules

Independently program Ignition 8.x, including:

Alarming

Reporting

Historian modules

Design, develop, and test Ignition Perspective HMI graphics

Develop and execute test forms, including FAT/SAT and commissioning documentation

Integrate vendor-provided equipment and devices using:

Ethernet/IP

BACnet IP

Modbus TCP/IP

Support and apply control system network topology best practices

Interface with process, facilities, and validation teams to support compliant system delivery

You have:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of hands-on industrial automation or controls engineering experience

Strong understanding of biopharmaceutical manufacturing and GMP processes

Experience working independently in automation system design and implementation

Familiarity with regulated environments and documentation-driven projects

Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
