(Parts & Repair) Data Service Specialist I
Job Introduction
The individual will collaborate with cross functional teams, management, and stakeholders to meet customer and business expectations. Additional responsibilities include researching OEM service information, documenting processes, data validation initiatives, tracking project progress, summarizing findings, and communicating updates to various levels within Tekion.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Research, interpret, and maintain OEM automotive service, repair, parts, and labor operation data.
Analyze OEM service manuals, (EPC), and technical documentation to accurately identify repair procedures, required parts, and labor operations.
Validate automotive repair and parts data to ensure consistency, completeness, and compliance with internal quality standards.
Utilize internal applications and data management tools to create, update, review, and maintain automotive datasets.
Support data enrichment and continuous improvement initiatives through data validation, quality reviews, and issue resolution.
Provide domain validation to improve the accuracy of automotive repair and parts data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data discrepancies and deliver high-quality automotive information within defined timelines.
Create and maintain documentation, reference materials, and process guidelines to support standardized data operations.
Monitor data quality metrics, investigate anomalies, and recommend corrective actions to improve data integrity.
Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to team members on automotive repair procedures, service documentation, and internal processes.
Research and respond to technical questions related to OEM service information, repair procedures, labor operations, and automotive parts.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in automotive data services, dealership operations, automotive repair, or technical documentation.
Good understanding of automotive systems, OEM repair procedures, vehicle parts, labor operations, and service documentation.
Hands-on experience using OEM Service Manuals, Electronic Parts Catalogs (Parts Catalog), Dealer Management Systems (DMS), and automotive parts inventory systems.
Strong knowledge of automotive spare parts identification, parts catalog navigation, and maintenance service requirements.
Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Automotive datas management.
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to data quality and accuracy.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
