Nurse Prescriber — Testosterone Service (UK)
About the role (What you'll be doing)
Impact: You'll be one of the founding clinicians on our UK testosterone service — the most convenient, straightforward route to safe testosterone care in the UK, built around an at-home blood test, a clear eligibility pathway, and bundled medication, monitoring and clinical support. You'll keep patients safe and progressing through their treatment, and your frontline insight will directly shape how the product and operations evolve. This role reports to the Clinical Lead of the UK testosterone service.
Independently prescribe within our testosterone SOP and formulary, including initiations, titrations and repeat prescriptions, with clinical-lead escalation where required
Conduct synchronous telephone consultations with patients starting or reviewing treatment — taking a focused history, confirming eligibility, counselling on risks, benefits and administration, and recording consent
Review diagnostic and monitoring blood panels and action critical or concerning results through our escalation process
Run the monitoring cadence — follow-up symptom reviews and repeat bloods, making titration, switching and discontinuation decisions using symptom scores and biomarkers
Flex into GLP-1 prescribing across Hims and Hers
Turn what you see in clinic into change — flagging pathway friction, intake-form and protocol improvements, and partnering with operations and product teams to make the service safer, faster and better for patients
About you (Who you are)
Skills & experience
Registered Nurse with active NMC registration and an independent prescribing qualification (V300), with the confidence to prescribe autonomously within defined protocols
Experience assessing and managing patients remotely (telehealth, NHS 111, remote triage or digital-first services) and communicating clearly and warmly by phone and message
Comfortable interpreting blood results and making structured clinical decisions from them, knowing when to act, when to escalate, and how to document it well
High clinical standards and sound judgement — you work safely at pace, follow SOPs rigorously, and speak up when something doesn't look right
Genuinely curious about improving systems, not just working within them — you enjoy giving structured feedback to non-clinical teams and seeing it shipped
Comfortable with digital tools and new technology, including AI-assisted ways of working
Nice to haves
Experience in men's health, endocrinology, sexual health or weight management (including GLP-1s)
Experience working in a start-up, scale-up or digital health environment
