Network Manager
This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in designing secure, scalable and highly available network architectures across enterprise environments. You will play a key role in shaping high-level designs and supporting the implementation of complex networking solutions.
We are seeking an experienced Network Manager to join our team in Dublin on a hybrid working model.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years in a network architecture or management role within enterprise environments
Proven experience delivering scalable, supportable, and highly available network solutions
Demonstrable expertise in:
Data Centre Networking
WAN technologies (MPLS, DMVPN, SD-WAN)
LAN/Wi-Fi segmentation and performance optimisation
Hybrid Cloud Networking (AWS, Azure)
Network Monitoring Tools (e.g., Opsgenie, Prometheus, SolarWinds)
Cybersecurity Planning and Secure Network Design
Strong understanding of IPv4/IPv6, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and DNS/DHCP
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) is a plus
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
Role & responsibilities include:
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network engineers and technicians
Set team objectives, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development
Allocate resources and assign project tasks based on skill sets, availability, and business priorities
Operational Oversight
Oversee the stability, scalability, and security of LAN/WAN, wireless, cloud, and hybrid environments
Maintain and optimise network management, monitoring, and incident response processes
Provide tier 3 escalation support and serve as a technical escalation point for complex issues
Project & Resource Management
Plan, prioritise, and oversee the execution of network-related projects and BAU activities
Collaborate with project managers to define timelines, milestones, and deliverables
Track team workloads and proactively adjust resources to meet changing demands
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a key liaison between the network team and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
Communicate network plans, incidents, and risks to senior management and technical leads
Provide regular updates and status reports to key stakeholders
Forecasting & Reporting
Maintain accurate forecasts of resource requirements and capacity planning
Develop and deliver reporting dashboards that reflect performance, uptime, incident resolution, and ongoing initiatives
Architecture & Design Support
Work with lead architects to create high-level designs and provide input into low-level implementation details
Support cybersecurity initiatives by ensuring network designs align with security standards and compliance frameworks
Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within network operations
Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and drive innovation within the team
