Mobile Engineer E2 - (React Native)
Job Description
BitGo is looking for a Mobile Engineer E2 with a strong background in React Native to join our team and help us build cross-platform mobile applications that enhance the BitGo experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
Design and build advanced applications for the iOS and Android platforms using React Native.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while identifying and resolving bottlenecks and bugs.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand and refine product requirements.
Provide mentorship to your peers in the broader engineering team through code reviews and education on best practices

Required:
4+ years of proven experience in mobile application development using React Native.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript and related technologies, including ES6 and TypeScript.
Familiarity with Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java.
Solid understanding of React and React Native architecture, navigation, state management, native modules, and OTA releases.
Experience with secure storage, authentication, encryption, certificate and network security, biometrics, and secure handling of sensitive data.
Strong understanding of UI/UX standards and mobile design principles.
Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, along with a strong understanding of RESTful API design.
Strong understanding of unit and functional testing, with proven debugging skills.
Experience with Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, and related development practices.
Experience building observability and monitoring capabilities, including crash reporting, analytics, profiling, and memory, battery, and network optimization.
Familiarity with App Store and Google Play deployment, release management, crash monitoring, and production debugging.
Ability to support working hours aligned with EST/PST time zones, as required.
Preferred:
Experience with native mobile development (iOS/Android) is a plus
Understanding of and experience working in the financial industry
Familiarity with any of the following: digital wallets, clearing and settlement, lending, trading, accounting systems, etc
