Job Description

Join Olsson’s Data Center Design team as a Mechanical Piping Engineer, where you’ll provide support on complex, mission-critical projects, including hyperscale data centers and secure facilities. This role works within a multidisciplinary team known for delivering innovative, high-performance building systems.

You’ll help provide technical knowledge on strategies that safeguard infrastructure, protect assets, and meet the most rigorous code and client requirements. You’ll collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and security professionals across sectors such as data centers, healthcare, higher education, commercial, industrial and federal facilities.

Key responsibilities:

Lead a wide range of engineering projects, from initial design to final execution, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.

Perform comprehensive design calculations, develop detailed documentation, and estimate costs, transforming innovative concepts into practical solutions.

Coordinate project designs with a keen eye on quality and efficiency, leveraging your expertise for optimal outcomes.

Serve as a primary liaison, communicating effectively with project teams and clients to keep all parties informed of progress and changes.

Champion innovation and continuous improvement by refining our methods and processes, ensuring our engineering solutions remain cutting-edge and effective.

You bring to the team:

3+ years of related piping design and pipe stress analysis experience using AutoPIPE.

Experience preparing pipe stress analysis reports and selection of pipe support components.

Piping System Flow Analysis (Fathom) experience preferred.

Strong communication skills

Ability to contribute and work well on a team

Revit Experience Desirable.

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering

Licensed PE preferred

The typical annual salary range for this role is as listed below. Compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience, and qualifications. Employees in this role may be eligible for our performance‑based bonus and merit increases.

National Pay Range

$95,000—$130,000 USD
