Materials Coordinator
Location: Surrey BC
Reports To: Senior Manager Supply Chain
Salary Range: $22.50 - $24.00/h
Position Summary: IEM is currently seeking a Materials Coordinator for our Surrey, British Columbia, Canada location and will report into the Materials Manager.
Please note: This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Surrey, BC offices and does not offer remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled kanban checks at designated locations throughout the production floor to identify parts and materials requiring replenishment.
· Pick, transport, and deliver parts and materials from warehouse and storage areas to workstations in the correct quantities and in a timely manner.
· Monitor bin and kanban inventory levels at each workstation, triggering replenishment actions when minimum stock thresholds are reached.
· Verify part numbers, quantities, and condition of materials before delivering to workstations to ensure accuracy and quality.
· Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, or quality issues to the Value Stream Leader/Work center Lead.
· Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (if certified) to move materials safely and efficiently.
· Maintain clean, organized, and properly labeled kanban locations and workstation staging areas.
· Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as directed by your supervisor.
· Follow established safety guidelines and protocols.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

· Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately identify part numbers, quantities, and kanban signals to ensure correct materials reach the right workstations.
· Reliability: Dependable and self-motivated with the ability to follow established replenishment routes and schedules with minimal supervision.
· Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with production team members, coordinators, and supervisors regarding material needs and issues.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
· Minimum of 6 months of experience in a warehouse, material handling, or manufacturing environment preferred.
· Demonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable with the potential to take on broader leadership roles within a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
Compensation actually offered for this role will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
