Material Coordinator
Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Material Coordinator to join our Receiving team. This full-time position is part of our day shift operation and plays a key role in supporting the movement of materials throughout our manufacturing facility. The position is regularly scheduled Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work based on production needs.
Urschel employee-owners design and manufacture industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries around the world from our global headquarters located in Chesterton, Indiana, U.S.A. Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility.
Starting pay is $25.74/hour

The Material Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and distributing material-related work throughout the manufacturing floor. This role manages and prioritizes work through the Material Queue Manager to ensure material requests are reviewed, assigned, and completed on time to support production schedules. The Material Coordinator serves as the central point of coordination for material movement while promoting efficient material flow and inventory accuracy throughout the facility.
Qualified applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience. Candidates must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple tasks while communicating effectively with employees across the organization. Basic computer skills are required, while experience with ERP systems, inventory management processes, and powered industrial vehicles is preferred. Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
