Manager, Business Analytics (Revenue Forecasting)
The Impact You'll Be Contributing to Moloco:
Revenue forecasts shape where Moloco invests, how Sales sets its targets, and what Product builds next. As a Manager, Business Analytics focused on Revenue Forecasting, you’ll help own that forecast.
You’ll develop, test, and refine models for advertiser spend and revenue across the business and its product lines, using both driver-based and statistical methods, and backtest regularly so accuracy keeps improving. You’ll run the weekly and quarterly revenue management cycles, including reporting, forecast refreshes, and variance analysis that explains what changed and why.
You’ll also dig into revenue levers and pricing performance across advertiser segments and verticals, bringing findings that balance revenue growth with advertiser value. Working with Finance, Sales, and Product, you’ll turn market and account-level signals and product roadmaps into projections that inform planning and go-to-market decisions. And you’ll build the dashboards and automation that make revenue reporting faster, more reliable, and self-serve.
The Opportunity:
Develop, test, and refine driver-based and statistical forecast models for advertiser spend and revenue, backtesting regularly and tracking accuracy against agreed tolerances and the current baseline
Own the weekly and quarterly revenue management cycles, delivering reporting, forecast refreshes, and variance analysis on schedule while triaging ad hoc requests
Explain what changed and why by separating volume, mix, pricing, seasonality, and one-offs, and recommend actions to Finance, Sales, and Product
Analyze revenue levers and pricing performance across advertiser segments and verticals, and bring findings that balance revenue growth with advertiser value
Partner with Finance, Sales, and Product to translate market and account-level signals and product roadmaps into projections, pressure testing assumptions, and aligning teams around one view of the forecast that informs planning and go-to-market decisions
Build dashboards and automation that make revenue reporting faster, more reliable, and self-serve
Document methodology and validate data and logic, including AI-assisted work, so results are accurate, reproducible, and defensible
How Do I Know if the Role is Right For Me?
6+ years in analytics, revenue analytics, FP&A, or strategy, ideally at an ad-tech company, marketplace or other two-sided platform.
Hands-on experience building and validating driver-based and statistical forecast models (time-series, regression), with a habit of backtesting and a willingness to own where a model missed and why
Proficient in SQL (BigQuery or similar) and Python, and fluent in using AI tools to accelerate analysis, with the judgment to review what they produce and catch bad joins, double counts, and silent logic errors
Track record of running recurring, deadline-driven reporting and forecast cycles accurately, while triaging ad hoc requests and documenting assumptions so numbers can be reproduced and defended
Skilled at root-cause variance analysis: separating volume, mix, pricing, seasonality, and one-offs, and tying findings to a recommended action
Clear communicator who can explain model assumptions to non-technical partners and align Finance, Sales, and Product around one view of the numbers
Understanding of how auction, supply, demand, and budget dynamics drive advertiser spend, with good judgment on tradeoffs between revenue growth and advertiser value
Instinct to automate repeated manual work through dashboards and pipelines
