About the role
We are looking for an Engineering Lead to join our team in Chilca, Lima, providing engineering and maintenance leadership across our operations.
This is a senior pivotal role. You will be accountable for delivering safe, cost-effective engineering and maintenance outcomes that support the site’s safety, quality, reliability and equipment availability targets. Your role will be part of the Bradken strategy by optimising assets, resources and maintenance strategies while supporting the ongoing improvement of our operations.
You will lead the planning and execution of capital projects, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, asset critical risk management and engineering standards. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on the reliability and performance of a major manufacturing operation while leading a multidisciplinary engineering and maintenance team.
In this role, you will:
Lead asset reliability and maintenance strategy, establishing preventive and predictive maintenance programs and engineering standards that improve equipment reliability, availability and overall business performance.
Plan and execute capital projects and major works, managing scope, priorities, resources, schedules and budgets to deliver projects safely, effectively and in line with business requirements.
Optimise maintenance and operational performance by analysing asset performance, equipment uptime, maintenance programs and project outcomes, then implementing improvements based on data and identified opportunities.
Lead shutdowns, turnarounds and critical maintenance activities, ensuring work is appropriately planned and completed by competent employees and contractors.
Manage engineering stores and critical spare parts, applying effective inventory and total-cost-of-ownership principles to support asset strategies and operational continuity.
Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, setting clear expectations, coaching supervisors and team members, supporting capability development and building a high-performing and engaged team.
What you’ll bring:
Tertiary qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience in an engineering leadership role within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience managing complex, multi-faceted projects.
Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams.
Experience managing large capital works programs and projects, including planning and execution.
Proven experience developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs and asset reliability strategies.
Experience with installation and commissioning of major plant and equipment, as well as significant change management or continuous improvement initiatives.
Advanced English language skills.
