We’re hiring a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our hardware team in Den Bosch, where you'll own the mechanical design and development of our next-generation camera hardware for athlete performance tracking. You'll set the technical direction for our camera mechanical platform, creating real-time player tracking solutions that help athletes and sports teams perform at their best.

As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you’ll:

Lead camera hardware design. You'll drive the mechanical architecture, design and development of cutting-edge camera hardware from initial concept through production.

Set technical standards. You'll define system-level requirements, document mechanical architecture and conduct design reviews, feasibility studies and detailed failure analyses (like DFMEA) to raise the bar across the team.

Bridge disciplines. You'll collaborate with electrical, firmware, optics, product and manufacturing partners to align interfaces, optimize for production and ensure our hardware performs reliably in demanding sports environments.

Build and validate. You'll write robust test plans, operate testing and prototyping infrastructure, and qualify mechanical performance across structural integrity, ingress protection, thermal management, and shock and vibration.

For this role, we're currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our offices in Den Bosch. But with our flexible work policy, there aren't any current requirements for the number of days you come to the office.

Must-Haves

Deep experience. Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics with eight or more years of hands-on mechanical or electromechanical design experience, taking hardware from concept to volume production in consumer electronics, sports tech or optics. Experience with plastics or rubber is a plus.

Technically skilled. Deep expertise in 3D CAD like SolidWorks or NX, GD&T, tolerance analysis, structural and thermal analysis, materials selection and sealing principles.

Manufacturing knowledge. Proven track record applying DFM, DFA, requirements management and failure analysis across injection molding, CNC machining and sheet metal processes.

A strong problem solver. Analytical problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of industry standards, regulatory compliance and product development methodologies.

A cross-functional leader. Exceptional communication and cross-discipline collaboration skills, paired with a willingness to use AI tools to boost engineering productivity

Nice-to-Haves

Electrical integration knowledge. Familiarity with integrating electrical components into mechanical systems.

Camera and optical experience. Knowledge of camera or optical system design, including lens mounts, sensor integration and thermal management of imaging hardware.

Outdoor deployment expertise. Familiarity with real-time tracking systems and environmental challenges like weather sealing, UV resistance and field serviceability.

Data-driven iterative design. Experience using field-test data to validate and iterate on mechanical designs.

Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time above any required statutory leave, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
