POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of production equipment to ensure reliability and minimize downtime. This role supervises maintenance mechanics, coordinates daily tasks and preventive maintenance, and addresses urgent repairs. The position works closely with production and quality teams to support equipment improvements, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, requiring strong technical skills and hands-on leadership.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.- Team Leadership

Direct, manage and train maintenance mechanics, ensuring efficient execution of tasks and repairs.

2.- Equipment Troubleshooting

Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and system faults to minimize production disruptions.

3.- Preventive Maintenance

Oversee and implement preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and longevity.

4.- Cross-functional Collaboration

Partner with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement and equipment upgrades.

5.- Safety and Compliance

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards to maintain a safe work environment.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

This position also performs other projects for the company as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent

License, certificate a plus.

Skills/Knowledge:

Leadership qualities

Knowledge of all aspects of maintenance (electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.)

Organization and planning skills

Good verbal communication skills

Ability to perform multiple tasks while meeting deadlines

Follow-up Skills

Negotiation skills

Math aptitude

Self-starter and team player

Environment and Scheduling

Work is performed in a machine shop and manufacturing plant setting.

Must be flexible and available to work additional hours when necessary.
