Lead Backend Development Engineer
Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with strong mastery of core backend systems. In this role, you will drive the evolution of our core distributed transaction engine and high-concurrency Instant Messaging (IM) platform.
Beyond deepening core business applications, you will act as a key technical backbone for strategic AI Shopping Assistant projects, exploring the integration of the Java ecosystem with Large Language Models (LLMs) to drive intelligent business transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Core Java Development: Design and build high-concurrency order processing centers, payment & settlement logic, and IM messaging engines; write high-quality, clean, and maintainable Java code.
Architecture Optimization & Evolution: Refactor technical debt, optimize JVM performance, database indexing, and caching strategies; resolve data consistency challenges in distributed environments.
AI Implementation: Participate in the architectural design of AI shopping guide/assistant projects, leveraging Spring AI or related frameworks to integrate LLM capabilities for smart recommendations, automated customer support, and other business scenarios.
System Stability: Lead core pipeline monitoring and troubleshooting to maintain high system availability during traffic spikes and promotional mega-sales.
Requirements
Technical Background: 3–5 years of Java development experience with solid CS fundamentals; deep understanding of JVM memory models, GC mechanisms, and multi-threading/concurrency programming.
Framework Proficiency: Proficient in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, MyBatis, and related mainstream frameworks, with a clear understanding of their core principles and extension points.
Domain Experience (At least one required):
Transaction Systems: Familiar with distributed transactions and state machine design; hands-on experience with complex, financial-grade order or settlement systems.
Messaging & Communication: Proficient in Netty network programming with a deep understanding of WebSocket/MQTT protocols; experience in handling push systems with millions of concurrent connections.
Middleware & Storage: Proficient in using message queues (RocketMQ/Kafka) for asynchronous decoupling; rich experience in MySQL performance tuning and Redis distributed locks.
Preferred Qualifications
Work Visa Status: Holders of Hong Kong Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS) or Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS) visas—or those eligible to apply—are highly preferred.
AI Vision: Attentive to AI industry developments; hands-on experience with LangChain, Vector Databases (e.g., Milvus, Pinecone), or RAG architecture is a strong plus.
