JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our team at the Mississauga facility. As a Junior Project Manager, you will work with our highly talented team to manage state-of-the-art and innovative projects for our customers.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITES
Coordinate engineering projects from quotation through engineering, manufacturing, and completion.
Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables while monitoring project progress, identifying risks, escalating issues appropriately, and identify opportunities to improve project efficiency and delivery.
Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and other internal staff to support timely project delivery.
Serve as a primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle, managing inquiries, meetings, updates, and correspondence while communicating project timelines, deliverables and changes clearly and proactively to internal and external stakeholders.
Facilitate communication between customers and engineering teams without independent technical design responsibility.
Identify scope creep, potential cost overruns, and impacts to project margins or timelines to support customer quotations, project estimates, and initial financial baselines.
Ensure component selections and requirements remain within approved Bill of Materials (BOM) and quoted limits.
Track shipping information, serial numbers, documentation, and other project deliverables.
Coordinate resolution of shipping, procurement, manufacturing, and other operational issues.
Apply project management principles to technical projects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
This position will be compensated according to qualifications
Post-secondary degree in Engineering Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
0–3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, client/project administration, operations, or a related role.
CAPM, PMP, or other project management certification is considered an asset.
Knowledge of Altium CAD software is considered an asset.
Knowledge of electrical/electronics design is considered an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Proven ability to support projects from initiation through completion, including scheduling, tracking deliverables, monitoring budgets, maintaining documentation, and coordinating project activities.
Experience managing multiple projects or competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve issues before they affect project timelines or deliverables.
Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, technical staff, clients, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Ability to prepare project status reports, meeting materials, schedules, budgets, presentations, and other project documentation.
Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues to the Engineering Lead.
This role requires excellent communication, organizational, time-management, interpersonal, and leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
