IT Systems Engineer III/IV
We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to maintain and improve systems infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have proven track record of systems engineering with increasing responsibilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with various engineering, IT, and program leads to implement and maintain a robust systems infrastructure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and Implement New Infrastructure: Build out new infrastructure as required to accommodate growth and new requirements and decommission end of life systems.
Support Desktop Team: Provide advanced Tier 3 trouble shooting and support to desktop team.
Project planning: Plan and implement new efforts set forth by leadership.
Updates and Patching: Maintain pathing and monitoring of infrastructure.
Security Initiatives: Work with IT Security Engineer to monitor and implement strict security standards.
Monitoring, Testing and Troubleshooting: Enforce strategies for monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting application performance, enterprise infrastructure, security, backup, COOP/DR, and high availability
Enforce CMMC 2.0 Regulations: Work closely with CMMC Security Analyst and IT Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain systems to CMMC 2.0 standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (doesn’t have to exactly follow below bullets, but provided as a guide)
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field. Or five or more years’ of work experience as a IT Systems Engineer or related position.
Experience: five or more years’ of work experience as a IT Systems Engineer or related position, with a solid understanding of enterprise IT architecture.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in a broad range of infrastructure tools and technologies, including firewalls, routing, switching, wireless, and authentication. Also server operating systems including Windows and Linux. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Powershell.
OS Platforms: Proficient in Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems.
Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, and Office 365
Networking and Infrastructure: Proficient in vlans, VPN technologies, Firewalls, and networking best practices in a DOW environment.
Security Frameworks: Familiarity with CMMC 2.0 and Dfars 252.204-712 and NIST 800-171. ISO 27001, and ITAR beneficial.
U.S. Citizenship
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA or other industry certifications.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a government regulated industry or similar high security industry.
Pay range for this role
$115,000—$176,000 USD
