Integration Engineer - Contract
The Team:
Upstart’s Solutions and Integrations team builds and scales the technology that connects our lending partners to Upstart. The team owns core banking and API integrations that automate lender onboarding and downstream loan workflows, with a focus on helping our lenders purchase loans seamlessly, supporting new lending products, and building scalable integration and production support models.
We've already built integrations with several major core banking platforms, and our priority now is helping more lending partners go live quickly, reliably, and at high quality. We're a small, collaborative team that works directly with lenders and partners across Product, Engineering, Implementation, and Account Management.
As an Integration Engineer, Lending Partnerships at Upstart, you will help scale adoption of Upstart’s existing core banking and API integrations by owning the technical onboarding of banks and credit unions. You will work directly with lending partners and internal teams to gather requirements, configure integrations, map data, establish connectivity, test end to end workflows, troubleshoot issues, and support successful production launches. Your work adds dedicated implementation capacity, so Upstart can support more simultaneous launches while keeping timelines predictable. This opportunity is a 6 month contract-to-hire role and is not eligible for Upstart’s employee compensation, equity, bonus, or benefits offerings.
How you’ll make an impact
Own technical onboarding of lending partners from requirements gathering and data mapping through testing, production launch, and initial post launch support.
Configure and support integrations using Workato, REST APIs, SFTP, and existing core banking connector frameworks.
Partner directly with lender technology, operations, accounting, and implementation teams to understand requirements, resolve technical blockers, and maintain launch readiness.
Execute and validate end to end workflows across member and account creation, loan boarding, funding related processes, document transfer, and downstream data updates.
Troubleshoot production and implementation issues across APIs, data mappings, middleware, core banking platforms, and lender environments.
Improve integration scalability by optimizing Workato workflows, strengthening production support processes, and turning repeatable implementation activities into standardized processes, templates, and automation.
