Intern – CA Industrial Trainee (Accounting / Reporting)

About the Role

We are offering an excellent learning opportunity within our International Accounting & Reporting team based at Bangalore. Designed specifically for CA students seeking industrial training, this role supports our U.S. GAAP accounting team or International Reporting team. You will step into a global corporate environment, partner with team members worldwide, and gain hands-on exposure to corporate accounting principles, change management, and complex issue resolution. About the Team

Our global accounting team is the backbone of our financial reporting. We are responsible for finalizing the financial statements for all subsidiaries across North America, EMEA, and APAC, ensuring strict adherence to the required GAAP in each country. This team drives compliance with regulatory guidelines and corporate accounting policies. From managing accurate and timely book closures to overseeing financial audits, GL management, and reconciliations, we maintain and elevate the overall control environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Support the Close Process: Assist the team with month-end and quarter-end U.S. GAAP close processes and related departmental responsibilities.

Execute Accounting Tasks: Participate in the accurate and timely execution of close procedures to ensure highly reliable financial reporting.

Collaborate Globally: Work closely with the broader corporate accounting team, shadowing experts to support a seamless monthly book closure.

Learn Risk Assessment: Help analyze accounts to assess financial risks and learn to apply professional judgment to ensure the integrity of accounting entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

Prepare Documentation: Draft journal entries and assist in maintaining account reconciliations consistent with strict corporate policies.

Audit Support: Assist in preparing and maintaining essential reports and schedules for management, as well as those requested by internal and external auditors.

GST & WHT: Support the reconciliation process, prepare and file tax returns, and manage refund applications as applicable.

Technical Research: Support the team in researching complex technical accounting issues, gaining valuable exposure to how a global company documents and communicates its accounting positions.

Internal Controls (SOX): Gain practical, hands-on exposure to the organization's internal control framework (SOX) by assisting in control procedures to ensure company-wide compliance.

Continuous Learning: Stay current on evolving Accounting Standards pronouncements and learn how to directly apply them in a modern corporate setting.

Who We Are Looking For

Currently pursuing a Chartered Accountancy (CA) qualification.

Eligible and actively seeking mandatory CA Industrial Training.

Strong theoretical foundation in accounting principles (U.S. GAAP or IFRS knowledge is a plus).

Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a global team setting.
