ICPR Engineer - Florida (Land Development)
Responsibilities
Performs and oversees civil engineering work, focused on site design components including site layout, yard piping, paving and grading, and stormwater infrastructure
Performs and conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparation
Completes detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for site civil aspects of residential or commercial sites
Conducts stormwater hydraulic calculations and/or modeling and incorporates into the site civil design
Prepares and reviews technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables
Reviews contractor submittals for conformance with contract drawings and specifications
Provides, and coordinates engineering services during construction
Serves as civil engineer for large multi-discipline projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil/site development, stormwater, and permitting
Registration as a Professional Engineer or EIT Desired
Ability to develop and oversee drawings for civil plans (site layout, piping, grading, drainage, and paving) from sketches
Experience with the planning and design of layout and site design projects
Experience with site development requirements and permitting; experience with environmental resource permits
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of Civil 3D and at least 2 years' experience with ICPR
