Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to lead all human resources and office administration functions for our São Paulo office, with regional support across Latin America. Reporting to the Regional HR Lead, this role serves as the primary HR partner in Brazil — managing HR operations, employee relations, labor compliance, employee engagement, and local office administration. This role combines hands-on HR administration with strategic employee engagement and expertise in Brazilian labor law, with the flexibility to navigate HR matters across LATAM markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Operations & Compliance

Manage the full employee lifecycle for Brazil and LATAM employees.

Administer payroll inputs, attendance, leave management, and benefits enrollment in coordination with vendors and finance, ensuring compliance with all applicable engagement models.

Ensure full compliance with Brazilian labor law (CLT), INSS, FGTS, IRRF, and mandatory reporting obligations.

Maintain compliance with occupational health and safety legislation, including coordination of PGR, PCMSO, SIPAT, and CIPA requirements.

Monitor labor law developments across key LATAM markets and advise on compliance implications.

Support internal and external HR audits; maintain and update HR policies to reflect regulatory requirements and changes.

Maintain accurate HRIS records and ensure data integrity across all supported markets.

Coordinate statutory and supplementary benefits administration, including vale-refeição, vale-transporte, plano de saúde, and other applicable programs.

Support visa and work permit processes for foreign employees as required.

As the company expands into new markets, extend HR and administrative support to additional regions or countries as business needs evolve.

2. Employee Relations

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and workplace concerns across Brazil and LATAM.

Manage grievances, disciplinary proceedings, and performance improvement plans with fairness and confidentiality.

Advise and coach managers on performance management, team dynamics, and engagement matters.

Conduct exit interviews, analyze attrition trends, and present retention recommendations to leadership.

Collaborate with local legal counsel on complex matters involving CLT obligations and labor court exposure.

Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture that supports employee well-being and reflects organizational values.

Plan and execute local events, team-building initiatives, and cultural celebrations in alignment with global guidelines.

3. Office & IT Administration

Manage the shipping and receiving of company laptops locally, acting as the on-site helper to perform basic device setups under the step-by-step guidance of the remote IT team.

Oversee day-to-day office operations, facility maintenance, and vendor management to ensure a safe and productive workplace.

Manage office supplies, pantry inventory, corporate mobile lines, and procurement activities.

Facilitate office access control, visitor management, and front-desk operations as needed.

4. Talent Market Intelligence

Monitor hiring trends, compensation benchmarks, and employer branding strategies among crypto/Web3 and fintech companies in Brazil and LATAM to inform talent strategy.

Contribute to recruitment and employer branding initiatives as required.

Qualifications

1. Required

Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or HR management capacity.

Comprehensive knowledge of Brazilian labor law.

Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary cases, and workplace investigations.

Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken, is a must.

Comfortable building HR and office functions from the ground up (0-to-1 experience) — setting up processes, policies, and infrastructure in a new or scaling environment.

Proactive and self-driven, with a track record of identifying gaps and implementing solutions without waiting for direction.

2. Preferred

Experience in the technology, fintech, or crypto/Web3 sector.

Professional proficiency in Spanish for LATAM regional coverage and experience supporting HR operations across multiple LATAM countries.

Prior involvement in HR audits, employer branding, or talent acquisition.

Experience working in fast-growing, globally distributed teams where adaptability is essential.

Proficiency in HRIS platforms and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Lark).
