Head of Brand - Bogotá (Hybrid)
About the Role
We're looking for someone who gets a kick out of turning "how should Clara look and sound here?" into a shipped campaign, a visual system, or a production workflow — by next week, not next quarter. You'll define how Clara looks, sounds, and feels everywhere our customers, prospects, and candidates encounter us: product, marketing, sales materials, events, social, recruiting, and the office itself.
This isn't a brand governance role. It's a build role. You'll set the visual identity and voice, create the systems that let the rest of the company ship on-brand work fast, and lead the designers, writers, and producers who bring it to life — with AI doing serious heavy lifting on production, personalization, and scale.
You'll join at a stage where Clara's brand is still being defined region-wide. That means real license to shape it — and real accountability for making it distinctive, consistent, and something customers and employees are genuinely proud to be associated with.
You'll report to the Head of Design and partner closely with Product, Marketing, and Clara's founders on the moments that define the brand.
What You'll Do
Own Clara's brand identity end to end: visual system, voice and tone, and the narrative that ties product, marketing, and culture together — and be accountable for whether it lands, not just whether it looks good.
Build and lead a brand team — designers, writers, motion and production talent — recruiting exceptional people and creating the conditions for them to do their best work.
Build AI-powered brand production tooling: design and ship the workflows, templates, and AI-assisted systems that let non-designers across Clara produce on-brand work without bottlenecking every asset through your team. Think prompt libraries, generative image workflows, copy scaffolding, automated asset resizing — built and iterated, not just imagined.
Prototype fast, validate faster: go from brand brief to working asset or system in days, test it against real usage and perception, kill what doesn't work, and scale what does.
Set up the operating rhythm for brand work — intake, briefs, reviews, approvals — so work moves quickly without sacrificing quality.
Lead by making when it counts: concept development, art direction, and hands-on craft on Clara's highest-stakes brand moments — launches, campaigns, major events, the moments people remember.
Partner with Product Marketing, Growth, and Sales to ensure brand shows up consistently across every customer touchpoint, from the website to the sales deck to the app itself.
Partner with People and Recruiting to make Clara's employer brand as sharp and intentional as its customer-facing brand.
Establish the metrics and feedback loops that show whether brand investment is working — awareness, perception, consistency, and business impact — and report on it in plain, honest terms.
Who You Are
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Must haves
8+ years in brand, creative, or design leadership, including experience building or scaling a brand function at a high-growth company, agency, or in-house creative team.
A portfolio of brand work you've led end-to-end — identity systems, rebrands, or campaigns that measurably shaped how a company was perceived.
A track record of hiring, developing, and leading high-performing creative teams.
Strong operational instincts: you've built creative processes that scale, and you can explain them clearly — not just describe good taste.
Hands-on experience using AI in creative production — not just a point of view on it, but actual workflows you've built or adopted to scale output without diluting quality. You've shipped things using generative tools, not just experimented with them.
Excellent craft across visual identity, typography, voice, and motion, with the judgment to know when to lead by example and when to delegate.
Comfort partnering with Marketing, Product, Sales, People, and executive leadership — strong written and verbal communication in English.
A bias toward building and shipping over speccing and aligning — you'd rather put a rough version in front of people this week than circulate a perfect brief next month.
Nice to haves
Background in fintech, B2B SaaS, or another trust-driven category — what matters most is a track record of building brands people remember, but the context helps.
Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese, given Clara's footprint across MX, BR, CO, and AR.
Experience working directly with founders or C-level on brand-defining moments.
Startup or small-team experience where you owned something end to end, from idea to production.
