About the Team

The Enterprise Platform Technology (EPT) team builds internal software for OpenAI’s go-to-market teams, helping streamline workflows and improve decision-making. We are building a reliable foundation that other teams can extend with their own applications.

About the Role

As a full-stack Software Engineer on EPT, you will build web applications, integrations, and shared platform capabilities. You will own architecture decisions and partner with business and engineering teams to improve seller workflows and develop intelligent workflow experiences that help teams identify useful next steps.

We’re looking for product-minded engineers who can independently turn complex business needs into full-stack software.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In this role, you will:

- Design and deliver full-stack web applications and integrations that support go to market workflows

- Define platform and application boundaries that let other teams extend our go to market systems while protecting sensitive data, reliability, and data integrity.

- Work with product and business partners to prioritize useful capabilities, including intelligent experiences informed by relevant business context..

You might thrive in this role if you:

- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, excluding internships, on product-driven teams.

- Experience building large-scale, full-stack software applications in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

- Make sound architecture and product decisions for connected systems, with attention to sensitive data, reliability, and maintainability.

- Communicate clearly and collaborate across engineering and business teams. The EPT platform uses Python/FastAPI and React, but experience with those specific technologies is not required. Agentic-system experience is a plus, not a requirement.
