About the role

This is a permanent full-time position supporting the manufacture of components for the Australian sugar industry.

Working with a skilled team, you'll take the lead on machine setup, first-off verification, workshop planning, and mentoring apprentices and tradespeople while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity.

In this role you wil be:

Setting and programming CNC machinery

Verifying first-off production components

Supporting production planning and workflow

Leading by example on safety and quality

Training and mentoring apprentices and team members

Working closely with supervisors and workshop teams to improve productivity and efficiency

You will have:

Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner or similar mechanical trade

Experience in a manufacturing or machining environment

CNC machine setting and programming experience

Strong commitment to safety and quality

Ability to lead by example and support others in the workshop

Forklift, dogging or other relevant tickets are advantageous but not essential
