This role is a great opportunity for an experienced technical professional who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and helping teams perform at a high level. You’ll serve as a key connection point between our technical teams and project leaders—making sure team members have the skills, support, and project opportunities they need to grow.

While this position includes technical guidance and project support, the primary focus is people leadership, workforce readiness, and team development.

What You'll Do

Serve as a hiring manager for entry-level technical team members, helping build a strong pipeline of future talent.

Provide technical guidance and help team members build strong foundations in electrical construction, field engineering, documentation, and project execution.

Partner with project and market leaders to deploy team members to projects and assignments based on business needs, development opportunities, and workload.

Maintain visibility into team workload and utilization, making thoughtful deployment decisions to keep people challenged and productive.

Conduct performance reviews and provide input into merit, bonus, and talent decisions.

Help team members identify career goals and create opportunities for technical growth and progression.

Support the implementation of new tools, processes, standards, and best practices across the team.

Partner with discipline and project leaders on workforce planning, hiring needs, cross-training, and work-sharing opportunities.

Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen how our teams plan, execute, and deliver electrical construction work.

Step into project and field environments as needed to provide technical support, coordination, and leadership.

What You'll Bring

Required

High school diploma or associate degree in a relevant field such as Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Electrical Technology, or a related discipline.

4–10 years of progressive technical experience in field engineering, electrical construction, VDC/BIM, design, planning, or a related area.

Experience working in or supporting the electrical construction industry is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, influence, and build relationships across teams.

Ability to balance competing priorities and make thoughtful decisions around people, workload, and project needs.

A demonstrated interest in developing people and building high-performing teams.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field.

Experience leading, mentoring, training, or developing other technical professionals.

Advanced proficiency with relevant design, modeling, construction, or project technology.

Strong understanding of construction documentation, technical standards, and project coordination.

Experience supporting complex electrical construction projects.

People Leadership – Coach and develop technical professionals throughout their careers.

Project Impact – Help ensure the right people are in the right roles at the right time.

Technical Growth – Stay connected to the field while helping establish strong technical standards.
