Facilities Maintenance Technician I 2nd Shift (Contract)

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician I to join our team. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and pleasant working environment. The ideal candidate will have basic technical skills, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards.

Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs basic preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.

Assists with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, installation of fixtures, and moving materials within the facility.

Utilize a work order system to log activities as required in a timely manner.

Work with contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.

Assist with office moves, workstation reconfigurations, and heavy lifting/moving of furniture, equipment, and supplies.

Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Requirements:

General understanding of building trades, including electric, plumbing, painting, and heating/air conditioning systems.

Proficiency in the use of tools and equipment used in various building construction and maintenance trades.

Basic computer skills related to data entry, retrieval, and record-keeping.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and manuals.

Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices.

Experience with building management systems (BMS) software for creating, performing, and maintaining work orders is a plus.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Possession of a current valid California Class C driver’s license and dependable transportation.

Ability to lift a minimal of 50lbs

Pay Rate

$27-32/hr
