Extraction Technician
The Extraction Technician will report to the Extraction Lead and assist with hydrocarbon extraction processes, equipment maintenance, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cannabis extraction, a commitment to maintaining high standards, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Schedule:
2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 11:00 AM-7:30 PM
Responsibilities:
Assist with hydrocarbon extraction processes under the supervision of the Extraction Lead.
Operate and maintain extraction equipment, ensuring proper calibration, cleanliness, and preventative maintenance.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure safe and efficient extraction operations.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of extraction runs, yields, test results, and inventory.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma/GED required.
Experience in a laboratory or production environment, preferably in the cannabis industry.
Basic understanding of hydrocarbon extraction principles and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment with strict adherence to safety protocols.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) principles preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain/maintain all state-required cannabis badging, which includes a pre-employment background check.
Must possess a valid driver’s license or state ID card.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking for long durations.
Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Allergen warnings - Potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens.
May require daily use of provided PPE.
