Executive Creative Director
About the Role
As a Group Creative Director, you’ll serve as a core strategic partner and creative leader for our Monks team in Milan. You will oversee the creative development of integrated campaigns for top-tier national and international clients, driving innovation across social, digital, and content-driven activations. We are looking for someone who is passionate about seeking new opportunities to create impactful work.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and direct the creative development of end-to-end campaigns across digital, social media, video, and branded content platforms.
Lead and mentor Copywriters, Art Directors, and Designers, encouraging creative curiosity while ensuring project continuity and output quality.
Align with agency leadership to expand commercial opportunities, pitch to C-suite clients, and align high-level creative ambition with client business goals.
Craft and pitch narrative strategies, brand voice guidelines, and visual language for client presentations and new business pitches.
Drive our creative "Innovation Roadmap" by embedding advanced generative AI tools (ChatGPT, voice-over engines, scripting tools) into daily creative workflows.
Work in close alignment with Strategy, Account Management, and Production teams to maintain seamless project execution and quality delivery.
Oversee creative resource management, balancing artistic quality with operational health and project efficiency.
Stay ahead of industry trends, technological advancements, and cultural shifts to keep our creative output ahead of the curve.
About You
The essentials:
10+ years of creative agency experience, having worked as an Art Director, Copywriter, or Creative Director on national and international brands.
Strong track record in pitch-winning creativity, with a charismatic client-facing presence and outstanding communication skills.
Focus on modern channels, with deep expertise in social media, digital activations, and branded content over traditional TVC/ATL formats.
Fluency in Italian and English at a professional business level.
Hands-on proficiency with AI tools, including experience applying LLMs, audio/voice optimisation, and AI conceppting platforms to agency processes.
Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, combined with self-reliance, strategic thinking, and results orientation.
Not a must, but a plus:
Prior experience conceppting and executing campaigns within the luxury, lifestyle, or fashion sectors.
Hands-on experience working across global agency networks and distributed time zones.
