This team partners closely with Customer Experience (CX), Trust & Safety, Fraud Prevention, Payments, and Financial Operations organizations to build scalable systems and operational tooling that support millions of users and transactions globally.

About the Fanatics Collectibles D2C Trust & Safety Domain

T&S keeps the marketplace fair and fraud-resistant across Fanatics Live, Collect, and Topps.com, enforcing content and behavior policy, preventing fraud and multi-accounting, and protecting transaction integrity. The team relies on a small set of integrated services that this engineering team will support and extend: fraud/behavioral signals, identity verification and KYC, transaction risk and chargeback protection, real-time chat/DM moderation, and dispute/chargeback evidence management.

The Role

Fanatics Collectibles’ is building its engineering presence in Mexico City, and we're looking for our first Engineering Manager to help establish and grow the site. This leader will build and develop a high-performing engineering team while partnering closely with the Senior Director, Engineering to establish engineering culture, operational excellence, and organizational growth.

As Engineering Manager, you will lead Software Engineers supporting Trust & Safety. This is a newly created, dedicated engineering team for Trust & Safety, you will be building the team and its roadmap from the ground up. Your primary responsibility is enabling your team to deliver business outcomes through coaching, execution, and cross-functional leadership.

Hire, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing engineering team.

Lead performance management, career development, and employee engagement.

Lead delivery of engineering initiatives across Trust & Safety.

Partner with Product Managers and Technical Leads to prioritize work and deliver customer value.

Manage execution risks and balance feature delivery with technical quality.

Serve as a key partner to the Senior Director, Engineering in scaling the engineering organization.

Partner with senior engineers and architects on technical direction.

Promote engineering best practices, reliability, testing, and operational excellence.

Build relationships across Product, Engineering, Operations, and business stakeholders.

Communicate priorities, delivery progress, and risks to leadership.

Basic Qualifications

7+ years of professional software engineering experience.

2+ years of engineering management or technical leadership experience.

Experience leading agile engineering teams.

Strong knowledge of backend engineering, cloud-native applications, distributed systems, and AWS.

Demonstrated success hiring, coaching, and developing engineers.

The salary range represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation.
