Location: New York

Salary: $60,000 -$90,000

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform echocardiograms to assess cardiac structure and function for patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. This position plays a critical role in supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions in a geriatric population.

Responsibilities

Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) in accordance with established protocols

Obtain high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by cardiology providers

Prepare patients for procedures and ensure comfort and safety throughout testing

Identify and document anatomical and functional cardiac findings

Accurately document procedures and upload studies to designated systems

Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment as needed

Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and facility policies

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff

Travel to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned

Requirements

Associate or bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent certification required

Prior experience performing echocardiograms required

Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred

Strong technical and diagnostic skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Comfortable working with the geriatric population

Ability to travel as needed
