HOURS: First Shift

POSITION SUMMARY

Located at our Cottage Grove, MN location, this position has the responsibility of performing and documenting timely in-process inspections on completed orders. They will support Operations by providing directions for quality and standard work procedures. This person will also be responsible for increasing company profitability by maintaining accurate inventory levels through the management of inventory controls.  This will be done by reviewing cycle count performance and investigating inventory discrepancies to ensure that optimal inventory is present and ready for use.  Specific day-to-day responsibilities include:

Distribution:

Develop and maintain relationships with warehouse teams and Customer Service

Proactively communicating with the customer service and warehouse teams

Maintain an organized, clean and efficient environment

Develop, document and train the company on proper packaging standards

Supporting the mission of great on-time customer service by being responsible for accuracy of outgoing finished product shipments for the Building Materials Division.

Ensure all outgoing products meet customer packaging requirements (i.e. skid sizes, quantities, PO information, weight, etc.) and support quick resolution of outages

Verifying all quantities and skid sizes on outgoing orders

Assisting with other administrative demands

Inventory:

Develop and train on a process for Maintaining inventory in the warehouse

Proven experience in maintaining the cycle count inventory accuracy, ensuring consistent and reliable stock levels through meticulous monitoring and reconciliation processes.

Provide inventory reports and data to maintain healthy inventory control processes and procedures

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School diploma/GED required

Prior warehouse experience is preferred

Prior inventory tracking experience is required

Experience in proficiency and accountability

Experience with RF Scanners

REQUIRED SKILLS

Safe working practices

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Detail-orientation required

Continuous improvement experience or certifications

Strong problem-solving skills

Effectiveness in providing clarity to team in achieving goals and company objectives

Able to accurately complete paperwork and/or data entry

Ability to work cooperatively with fellow employee owners

Ability to effectively move between a variety of tasks

Ability to productively manage tasks and complete work accurately in a timely manner

Ability to operate a forklift (training provided)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to do physical labor including lifting of up to 75lbs
