As a Director of User Experience, Purple Autonomous SOC, you will be tasked with defining and scaling the user experience for our Purple Autonomous SOC platform, blending strategic design leadership, UX architecture, and hands-on design excellence. You will operate as a senior player/coach, shaping long-term UX vision while directly influencing high-impact product initiatives, and ensuring that complex, data-rich security products feel coherent, intuitive, and trustworthy for security teams operating in high-stakes environments. You will be accountable for UX quality across multiple product surfaces and for building a design organization capable of operating at scale.
What Will You Do?
Primary responsibilities include:
Define and evolve the end-to-end user experience for the Autonomous SOC, rethinking how customers interact with traditional products in a more agent-first experience.
Establish a cohesive interaction model and information architecture that focuses on agentic actions and the areas where humans need to orchestrate them.
Own the long-term UX vision and ensure alignment with product management on the strategy.
Lead system-level design thinking for complex and innovative new interaction models.
Ensure consistency, scalability, accessibility, and usability across the product ecosystem.
Lead a high-performing product design organization, managing and mentoring senior managers, lead designers, and principal-level ICs.
Attract, hire, and retain top design talent, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Threat Research, and Executive Leadership, influencing product strategy through user insights, design vision, and architectural thinking.
Advocate for design at the leadership level, balancing user needs with technical and business constraints, and communicate design strategy, tradeoffs, and outcomes clearly to executive stakeholders.
What Skills and Knowledge Will You Bring?
Ideal candidates will have:
10 or more years of experience in Product Design or UX, with 5 or more years in senior leadership roles.
Proven experience leading UX for complex B2B or SaaS platforms.
Strong background in UX architecture, interaction models, and system-level design.
Strong understanding of agentic automation and how it will impact traditional design models.
Experience designing cybersecurity, observability, DevOps, or similarly complex technical products is preferred.
Familiarity with security workflows such as alert triage, investigations, threat hunting, and incident response is preferred.
Experience defining or evolving enterprise design systems at scale is preferred.
Experience supporting multi-product or platform-based organizations is preferred.
A background in high-growth, fast-scaling product environments is preferred.
