Director of Demand Generation
About the Role
This role exists to own NexHealth's pipeline number and build the demand system behind it. Today our demand engine is built primarily for the SMB motion, and the enterprise motion, forecasting, and reporting layers that connect all three audiences are still taking shape. You'll accelerate what's already working, build what doesn't exist yet, and turn demand generation, marketing operations, and events into one accountable system the business can plan around.
What You'll Do
Own the pipeline number. Build and deliver the multi-channel demand plan against MQL and pipeline targets, backed by a bottoms-up forecast by channel that holds up month to month.
Run three motions without collapsing them into one. Set distinct channel strategies for high-volume SMB, enterprise groups and DSOs, and developers and digital health companies building on the API.
Manage the channel portfolio. Assess current spend and reallocate for efficiency, test into new channels, offers, and strategies, and stop investing in what doesn't earn its place.
Launch NexHealth's first ABM program. Partner with Sales to build target account lists from fit, intent, and engagement data, and run multi-threaded plays across enterprise buying committees spanning operations, IT, and finance.
Make events a pipeline channel. Run the events program against pipeline goals, with a clear thesis and target outcome for every event.
Own marketing operations and data integrity. Lead the marketing stack and campaign operations, and partner with Revenue Operations on end-to-end lead flow so leadership trusts the numbers.
Defend the plan with Finance. Build and present channel-level models, explain the assumptions behind them, and adjust as evidence comes in.
Build and lead the team. Coach and develop a Demand Generation Manager and an Events Lead, assess what roles and skills the team needs next, and make the case to hire against it.
Direct agency partners. Run agencies as an execution arm against the briefs and performance standards you set.
Align across GTM and the executive team. Partner with Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, and company leadership to surface risks early and drive decisions that stick.
What You'll Bring
Strong experience leading B2B SaaS demand generation or growth marketing, including pipeline outcomes you personally owned and can walk through in detail.
Experience owning demand generation and marketing operations together, or running demand generation in close partnership with operations.
A background in a high-volume SMB motion, plus the judgment to build distinct playbooks for segments that convert very differently.
A track record of building or substantially scaling an ABM program, including defining target accounts with Sales and engaging multiple stakeholders across a buying committee.
The ability to build a bottoms-up, channel-level forecast and defend its assumptions clearly to Finance and executive leadership.
Hands-on fluency with marketing automation (HubSpot or equivalent) and CRM, with data integrity treated as a first-class responsibility rather than a delegated one.
Proven experience managing people: setting strategy, keeping a team engaged, hiring well, and holding the bar on performance.
Root-cause thinking: when a metric moves, you diagnose volume, conversion, and velocity before changing course, and you build programs designed to scale.
Comfort building the plan rather than receiving one, and a bias toward moving quickly and making sound decisions when the answer isn't already written down.
Bonus Points For
Experience with consumer or product-led growth motions.
Hands-on experience with intent data platforms and multi-touch attribution.
AI-driven marketing workflows running in production, not just in pilot.
Experience marketing to developers or selling API products.
