Director, Benefits Consulting Practice National Sales (Remote)
The Director, Benefits Consulting Practice is a sales leader for Businessolver’s Agency Broker of Record and Point Solution opportunities. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the growth of Businessolver’s Agency by consulting with our sales team, prospective clients, our BOR channel management team and current benefits administration clients on the value of Businessolver’s Agency, including the value of leveraging our Pinnacle Partner relationships. Our clients include large, complex clients who will also require us to collaborate with their carriers, brokers, and consultants to foster trusted relationships. This role will be focused on our Enterprise Accounts.
The Gig:
Understanding of Businessolver’s role and value proposition related to the employee experience for enrollment and year-round engagement including decisions support, enrollment best practices, and personalized communications
Deep understanding of the Voluntary Benefit market, funding strategy options, and permissible use of commissions
Collaborate with our BOR channel management team to help brokers understand the value of our Pinnacle Partnerships
Market, assess and place Voluntary Benefits coverage for BOR clients and prospective clients
Ability to engage clients in overall health and wellbeing strategy and be able to articulate how our partnerships, solutions and technology can drive better outcomes
Review existing Businessolver client information and work with sales to identify prospective Agency clients
Engage with Carriers to identify prospective Agency growth opportunities for expansion of lines of coverage
Communicate and partner with insurance companies and/or brokers to identify opportunities to optimize commissions to improve the overall member experience leveraging Businessolver suite of communication and engagement services to
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, vendor partners and internal stakeholders
Travel or visit insurance companies and/or clients, when necessary
What you need to make the cut:
Bachelor's Degree
7+ years work experience in voluntary benefits insurance and/or working with a brokerage required
Proven track record working with and closing opportunities with large clients across multiple industries
Exposure to account management for core benefit offering
Demonstrated experience and knowledge on employer health and wellbeing strategies and of the current landscape of solutions that are driving results
Life, Health & Accident licenses are required, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment; maintain annually
Professional benefit designations preferred
Ability to analyze and interpret insurance data
Strong data analysis skills
Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and able to quickly learn and utilize other computer applications
Proven ability to develop and deliver presentations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to travel up to 30%
Relationship building experience necessary
Ability to organize and manage multiple projects
Desire to develop organizational structure
The expected total compensation for this role, with on-target earnings (OTE), is up to $350K per year, with the ability to over-achieve on quota.
