What you’ll have to do:
Transitioning applications to Kubernetes and driving their migration to the cloud;
Partnering with development teams on production scaling, dependency upgrades, security patches, and performance improvements - building self-service tooling so teams can handle routine operations themselves;
Designing, developing and maintaining reusable CI/CD pipelines for automated, secure and scalable delivery;
Instrumenting services and infrastructure with metrics, dashboards, and actionable alerting (Prometheus, Grafana), including managing metric collection and cost;
Configuring and troubleshooting load balancing, service networking, and connectivity across services (HAProxy, gateways, Kubernetes networking) to increase system stability and reliability;
Investigating and resolving production incidents during working hours - tracing issues across application, network, and infrastructure layers, and contributing to postmortems and permanent fixes;
Identifying repetitive issues or tasks and implementing permanent solutions;
Defining and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC);
Administering the Linux systems underlying our container and cloud environments;
Documenting infrastructure configurations, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
What makes you a good fit:
Have 3+ years of experience in DevOps or similar roles;
Have solid Linux administration skills;
Have very good knowledge of cloud environments, containers and container orchestration solutions (Kubernetes);
Have hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS or Tencent preferred - our stack runs on both; GCP/Azure experience transfers well);
Have experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code;
Have solid understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, automation, distributed computing, high availability and security best practices;
Have practical experience with monitoring and logging in production - Prometheus and Grafana or equivalents.
What makes you stand out:
Experience building CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI or GitHub Actions;
Scripting skills (Bash, Python, Go or similar);
Experience with Helm and custom chart development;
Experience with GitOps tooling (ArgoCD, Flux);
Experience with service mesh and API gateways (Envoy, kgateway, or similar);
Experience with secrets management (Vault or similar);
Experience with Terragrunt;
Advanced observability: distributed tracing and log aggregation;
Relevant certifications: CKA, CKAD, or equivalent cloud certifications.
