What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to drive the automation, deployment, reliability, and operational excellence of CrashPlan's cloud platform. This role requires deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, system reliability, and operational automation.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in large-scale cloud environments, leading DevOps initiatives, mentoring engineers, and ensuring highly available, secure, and scalable systems in a 24x7 production environment.

This role will primarily support Microsoft Azure technologies, although strong experience with AWS and other cloud platforms is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Operations

Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure

Automate provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and operational processes across cloud environments

Ensure platform reliability, performance, and availability in a 24x7 production environment

Lead incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventive actions

DevOps & Automation

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software delivery

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and related automation tools

Drive automation initiatives to reduce operational overhead and improve system efficiency

Establish and maintain operational standards, best practices, and documentation

Security & Compliance

Ensure adherence to security best practices, compliance standards, and SOC2 controls

Partner with engineering teams to implement secure development and deployment practices

Support vulnerability management, access controls, and infrastructure security initiatives

Leadership & Collaboration

Mentor and guide DevOps engineers and cross-functional teams

Collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, Product, and Security teams

Contribute to architecture discussions and technology strategy

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure and operational processes

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, MCA, or a related field

7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps environments

5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms

Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform

Proven experience designing and managing highly available cloud infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms and deployment automation

Strong Linux administration experience, preferably Ubuntu Linux

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Strong scripting or programming experience in Python, Shell, Go, Java, or similar languages

Experience with monitoring, observability, and logging platforms

Work Environment

On-site in Bangalore (HSR Layout)
