Deliverability Procurement Manager
What challenge awaits you?
The Procurement team is looking for a commercially sharp vendor manager who can keep our deliverability supply base balanced, competitive, and low-risk while continuously improving margin. You will own the cost side of our SMS and email vendor relationships end to end, from sourcing and onboarding to rate-card negotiation and ongoing performance governance.
You will build and maintain a vendor base that gives Bloomreach coverage in every geography we sell into, redundancy where we are exposed, and pricing that lets Sales win deals without eroding margin.
You will then use that supply base to partner across Pricing, Deliverability, and Sales, translating carrier and vendor costs into custom pricing and rate cards, and making sure customer escalations are routed and resolved through clearly defined paths.
Your job will be to:
Own the commercial management of our SMS and email vendor relationships
Onboard new vendors and expand coverage into new geographies
Optimize custom pricing, rate cards, and margin with Pricing, Deliverability, and Sales
Keep the vendor base balanced, competitive, and low-risk
Be an expert in your craft
a. Own the commercial management of our SMS and email vendor relationships
Be accountable for the cost performance of our SMS and email deliverability vendors
Own vendor contracts, rate cards, commercial terms, renewals, and commitments across the deliverability supply base
Track vendor spend, volumes, and unit costs, and drive negotiations that reduce cost and improve terms
Define and manage clear escalation paths so customer-impacting vendor issues are routed and resolved quickly
Build and maintain scorecards in cooperation with FP&A to monitor vendor cost, quality, and reliability, and hold vendors accountable to them
b. Onboard new vendors and expand coverage into new geographies
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new SMS and email vendors in geographies where Bloomreach is expanding
Run structured sourcing and due-diligence processes covering coverage, cost, deliverability quality, compliance, and risk
Lead commercial onboarding, contracting, rate-card setup, and integration hand-off with the Deliverability team
Ensure new vendors meet Bloomreach's standards for reliability, compliance, and competitiveness before they carry production traffic
c. Optimize custom pricing, rate cards, and margin
Partner with Pricing to translate vendor and carrier costs into competitive custom pricing and rate cards
Work with Sales to support custom-priced and high-volume deals, protecting margin while enabling wins
Partner with the Deliverability team to align vendor routing and quality decisions with cost and commercial goals
Identify and execute margin-improvement opportunities across the vendor base, from renegotiation to re-routing volume
Model the margin impact of pricing, routing, and vendor changes to support commercial decisions
d. Keep the vendor base balanced, competitive, and low-risk
Maintain a balanced supply base that avoids over-reliance on any single vendor and mitigates supply, pricing, and compliance risk
Continuously benchmark vendor pricing and performance against the market to keep Bloomreach competitive
Monitor geographic coverage and redundancy, and close gaps before they become customer or margin risks
Own vendor risk management, including contingency and failover options for critical routes and regions
e. Be an expert in your craft
Develop deep expertise in SMS and email deliverability economics, carrier/vendor pricing structures, and rate-card mechanics
Stay abreast of market trends, new vendors, regulatory changes, and pricing dynamics across the geographies we operate in
Present cost, margin, and risk insights in a manner that is clear to both commercial and technical audiences
Ultimately, your goal is not just to manage vendors but to actively improve Bloomreach's margin, competitiveness, and customer experience across the deliverability supply base
Your success story will be:
In 30 days, you dive right in, build a full picture of our current SMS and email vendor base; contracts, rate cards, spend, volumes, and coverage — and produce a state-of-the-union on cost, risk concentration, and margin by the end of the first 30 days.
In 90 days, you begin executing quick-win renegotiations, define clear customer escalation paths with the Deliverability team, and partner with Pricing and Sales on your first custom pricing and rate-card optimizations.
In 180 days, you fully own the deliverability vendor portfolio, onboarding vendors in new expansion geographies, running a balanced and benchmarked supply base, and delivering measurable margin improvement, becoming an essential partner to the Pricing, Deliverability, and Sales teams.
You have the following experience and qualities:
