We are currently seeking an ambitious pace-setter to join our team as a Customs Import Manager remotely in the US.

iFIT is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Customs Import Manager to own and manage iFIT's import compliance operations globally, with primary focus on U.S. customs clearance. In this role, you will ensure every shipment clears accurately, on time, and in full compliance with CBP and applicable partner agency regulations. You will serve as the internal expert and primary liaison with customs authorities, manage broker partnerships, and keep iFIT's compliance policies and SOPs current as trade regulations evolve across all operating regions.

ROLE COMMITMENTS

Develop and execute best-in-class audit and valuation processes, including physical assisted components, tooling, and freight assists to ensure compliance and clearance.

Manage and continuously improve reconciliation programs for flagged entries, including post-entry audits.

Oversee HTS classification reviews, maintaining and updating the classification database for accuracy and compliance.

Lead customs broker partner RFPs to evaluate performance and strengthen strategic partnerships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee and design processes and systems to ensure trade compliance with U.S. and international customs laws and regulations.

Supervise and coordinate trade compliance and brokerage team activities for accurate and timely import/export handling.

Serve as the primary point of contact for customs authorities, addressing inquiries and resolving complex issues.

Collaborate with customs officials, shippers, and stakeholders to expedite and resolve trade compliance issues.

Stay informed on regulatory changes and improve processes in response to evolving customs and trade laws.

Manage global import/export activities, ensuring compliance in the USA and supporting other regions including Europe, UK, Mexico, Canada, and Australia.

Oversee preparation, review, and submission of trade documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Identify and mitigate risks related to import/export activities and compliance issues.

Develop and maintain compliance manuals, SOPs, and lead compliance committee initiatives.

Utilize the ACE portal, oversee HTS classification, country of origin reviews, reconciliation processes, and support post-entry audits and cross-border trade compliance.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Education and Basic Qualifications

5+ years of experience in import, customs compliance, or trade management.

Experience with ACE Portal, trade compliance systems, and SAP.

Deep understanding of U.S. customs regulations, tariffs, and trade laws.

Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) license preferred.

Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or equivalent trade compliance certification also considered.

Pay Range:

$90,000—$110,000 USD
