About the Role:

As a Customer Success Manager, Civil Government, you will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with a diverse range of public sector entities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This includes national/central governments, regional authorities, local municipalities, and key supranational organizations (e.g., Space agencies, Union bodies, and UN programmes).

You will help customers maximize the value of Planet’s imagery and geospatial solutions, ensuring that they can effectively integrate Planet data into their workflows for critical applications such as environmental monitoring, emergency response, land management, maritime surveillance, and sustainable development.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with government entities, have a solid ability to navigate highly complex and varied government structures and decision-making processes, procurement cycles, and the ability to integrate relationships across different countries and cultures. The ability to identify and build connections between ministries, directorates, and stakeholders will be key to driving adoption and impact across government initiatives.

Map out long-term account trajectories proactively to identify capacity gaps, risks, and expansion opportunities early.

Co-create success plans and QBRs that enable customers to clearly measure and present the business impact and ROI of Planet solutions.

Build strong relationships across complex stakeholder networks, equipping internal champions with the data they need to advocate for the partnership.

Lead cross-functional internal teams through critical account milestones to ensure alignment and clear execution.

Navigate high-stakes customer situations with composure and sound judgment, prioritizing effectively under pressure.

What You Bring:

Experience working closely with sales organizations and a firm grasp of commercial business models. Able to act as a true consultative partner who can navigate trade-offs and ensure customer requests align with strategic and financial goals.

Ability to read the room, pick up on what a customer is not saying, and adjust your tone, depth, and brevity depending on whether you are speaking with a technical lead or an executive.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Russian and English.

Willingness to travel to connect with customers and internal teams.

What Makes You Stand Out:

Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Customer Success (CS) tools (e.g., Salesforce, Gainsight, Zendesk) to manage workflows and report on team metrics.
